03/12/09-The Commercial Association of Sao Paulo (ACSP) and the Federation of Trade Associations of the State of São Paulo (FACESP) promoted at the headquarters of ACSP, the 5th edition of the “Export Award, Sao Paulo,” which honored 22 firms in Sao Paulo for their performance in the international market.

The Prize was created in 2005 in order to stimulate producers in Sao Paulo to engage in export operations and recognize the work performed by them in foreign markets.

The President of the ACSP and FACESP, Alencar Burti, together with the Secretary of State for Labor Relations, Guilherme Afif, Secretary of International Relations of the city of São Paulo, Cotait Alfredo Neto, Federal Representatives Ihoshi Walter and William Fields, and the coordinator for the Project Exporta, Sao Paulo, Jose Candido Senna, who formed the board that led the work.

In his greeting, Alencar Burtihig highlighted the merits of the awarded companies, all small and medium businesses, who have distinguished themselves by adding value to the product. He pointed out that in exporting they have contributed to job creation.

The winning companies were selected from the export performance of 18 regional administrative FACESP, which joined the two companies whose products were suitable for IPT /Projex, an export trading company and the municipality of São Paulo that the company had the highest relative growth this year Guara.
